How is the gas V10 these days in the Ford trucks?

I could also choose a GM product, but I don't know their models/ styles/ goods and bads.

I can get the steepest - family discount - on either of these. I've had 4, Ford F150s but I want to move up to a 3/4 ton with something bigger than the 5.4 litre.

I talked to a friend of mine that sells Ford trucks. He told me the V-10 hasn't changed much in the last few years. It's a solid engine. I've driven a couple- good power, smooth running. I don't know what kind of mileage you would expect, but more horsepower takes more gas. Good luck!

I think the V10 is pretty solid, and would be my choice if I were looking for a gas pickup for towing.

One guy I talked to said his got around 15 empty on the highway, if you baby it and keep the speed down. Towing heavy in the mountains, and it would do 6ish...
