can anyone,who has real experience with a similiar truck,give me information as to waht kind of MPG. to expect running empty at 60 t0 65 and towing a three horse trailer with two horses,about 7,000 lbs.,60 to 65?

Well, sorry for the bad news. But not good!

The last one I had was a 3500 dually but otherwise the same truck and with the cruise set on 65 unloade I would get around 11 out of it, loaded with a 3 horse S&H gooseneck at the same speed on the hwy I would get around 9. Did not take long to sell it!

If you are looking to buy, find one with the 6.0 engine, way better fuel mileage and with 4.10 gear you will not tell much difference in towing.

Thanks. I guess thats why they were selling it for 14K with only 48k miles on it.nice truck.i love the way it drove.

Yeap, price is high, miles are low! That is why the miles are so low, could not pay the gas bill for it.
