Any opinions (good and bad) on Yokohama Geolander H/T-S tires? I am looking at them because they are load rated at 2,500 lbs. per tire (which is more than I need but I would like more than the 1,900 most non LT truck tires have) but yet they are still a "passenger" tire. I would rather not go to a full LT tire because they don't ride as smooth. I use my truck 95% of the time as my primary vehicle (trailer hauling only 5% of the time).

Had them on my truck at one time. They rode very well and handled very well and were reasonably priced. I was very pleased with them, but like every other tire I have tried, other than the Michelins I have on my truck now, I had to replace them within a year. I put upwards of 35k on my truck a year and so far the Michelins are the only tire I have been able to more than that on. I've tried many.

Hope this helps.

This is probably the best site I've found for opinions on tires by actual drivers. You can either look up your specific tire by brand and size, or you can do it by your vehicle. Also, check the "survey results" for the tires you are interested in...they are very helpful and give a user rating for each tire in lots of different categories. There are literally hundreds of user opinions on the Geolander, and you'll see they are very highly rated.

I did a quick look for them in size 265/70/16...here's the link:

As long as they make them I will only put Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos on my truck. Yes they are an A/T, but they do not have the road noise associated with the normal A/T, and traction and wear have been superior. I have well over 40K miles on them and they still have 25% tread left. And I live on a less than mintained chipseal/gravel road. I suggest you go to the tire rack site listed above and read the reviews on this tire and the Yokohama Geolanders and then start making your decision. I am sure the Yoko's are fine tires, as they have a great reputation and friends that have the A/T version like them very much. Here are pics on my present truck and my old truck.
