Does anyone have or pull a 8' wide trailer with 15' LQ, 7'6" tall, 4 horse trailer with 3500 truck. Outlaw package on LQ. I am going to say and also dealer says that the trailer weighs in about 12k. Its loaded all amentities, 60 gal water tank, bigger gray/black tanks, 35 gal water tank on hay pod, hay pod not rack. Generator with 15 gal gas tank.

I currently have 4 horse with 11' shortwall, loaded as above. It pulls great and stops ok. The 4' extra living quarters is what I am concerned about. Also addition of the hay pod not hay rack.

The GM truck sits dead level with trailer on it now. Its a 4x4 as well.

As a general rule of thumb to figure the weight of an LQ, add 250 lbs per foot. So, your added 4' would be an additional 1000 lbs. The hay pod depending on lenghth will be about 300 lbs +/-

Why not just weigh the trailer "as is" then youwill know that weight. Add to that weight the expected weight of hay, will likely put that weight on trailer axles The water will add almost 800 lbs. most of that weightwill be on the truck . Not sure but you may want to check the GVW. of your truck as you may exceed the rated capacity.  Bet you will be pretty close to 18,000 lbs loaded if the mt trailer weighs in at the 12,000lbs mt weight. If scales are close by weigh your trailer as a comparison.

I think you will be over the limit when loaded.  I used to pull a 4-star 3H, 3'mid tack, 12' LQ with an F350.  It was ok but very questionable as far as being legal when loaded.  Switched to an F450 and am LOVING it!!  What a difference!  BTW, a friend had a trailer like yours and blew a trans.  Went to the F450 and is loving it too.

I'd get a bigger truck for that trailer.

Will you email me if you are selling your current trailer? pes_796@hotmail.com

Your trailer sounds like what I am looking for, especially if it doesn't have mangers!
