| Im am looking for my first truck and trailer. however im not sure if i need a v8 or a v6. i will be hauling a 2 horse calico slant load trailer. i have a mare around 1000 to 1500 and a gelding from around 1500 to 2000 pounds. so i guess my question is can a v6 pull that particular horse trailer? i wont be hauling everyday or weekend or anything like that. i will only be hauling 2-3 times a month. also what kind of truck? i really like the f150 or silverado. |

| also my father has a v6 chevy 1500 and we will be picking up the trailer and pulling it empty with that. im buying the trailer first because that way i know what kind of truck to buy for sure |

Location: Pataskala, Ohio | The V6 may do it but it will not go up hill fast and it will suck gas while pulling the trailer. If you are buying a truck to pull this trailer get the V8. If you have the V6, don't expect a lot.
What year and what make is the truck? Auto transmission? |
