Does anyone know if it is going to hold up in the long run, or should I get a truck with the 3.73?

It seems most of the dealers are stocking the 3.55.

I plan on buying a new truck the end of the month, and want as much info going in as possible.

Depends! If you are just buying it for LIGHT towing and a daily driver get the 3.55's. Anything other than that I would get the 3.73's, you will not be giving up much in fuel mileage, but will gain a ton in towing!

Thanks.  That is what I was thinking.   The salesmen keep trying to convince me otherwise.    I really didn't think things had changed that much like they say.

Go figure, salesman wanting to get rid of what is in stock! But one must remember the salesman is working on a sale to make a buck and actaully has NO CLUE what to truck is capible of doing! After all, he just hauls his lawn mower or jet ski around with hi truck! Or better yet he drives a car.....
