Looking to buy my first truck. I notice that the Tundra does not have a boxed frame and that Ford brags about its. How big a deal is it for someone who wants to carry a truck camper and do moderate off roading? Thanks.

I don't know how important that would be to the end user. If your use isn't too radical, and the weights you carry are close to what the truck and axles are rated for, I can't see how a boxed frame vs a channel type frame would make any difference. An index of frame strength is the RBM(Resisting Bending Moment). An RBM comparrison for two different frames is really the way to see which is stronger. Now a boxed frame might get you the same strenght while using less or lighter steel, so if weight is a factor to you that would be a consideration.
