I'm new to the board so bare with me in this process. I currently have a 2008 F450 Powerstroke 4x4 and am trying to decide whether or not to purchase an extended warranty from Ford. I drive approximately 12k per year the truck is parked in the winter and I plan on keeping it for at least another 4 years. It currently has 28k on it and I just purchased it in May 2010. Any suggestions???

My personal opinion save your money! All of the extended warranty plans I have seen are worthless and even more so for diesel trucks. Take the time and read the FINE print and you will see for yourself that most of the major parts are NOT covered!

If you have someone that works on your truck I would save the money your are thinking about on the warranty and spend it on DPF delete kit and programmer and releave the truck of the un-need mess. This will not only make the truck run better but will make it last longer and increase your fuel mileage as well.

I also am not a fan of most of the extended warranties.
