Chevy 2012 2500 Duramax gas milage

I am only getting between 14.5 and 16 mpg around town. Mixed FM roads and some in town stop and go. My 2004 Chevy Duramax 1 ton dually would get 17 - 19 mpg under the same conditions, same roads, same trips. Towing a 2 H GN I am getting about 12 - 13 mpg. Is there a trick to getting better milage out of the 2012?  I was getting 13mpg towing the same trailer with the 2004 chevy. 0 likes PaulChristenson Reg.
