They are both great trucks. Also depends on year model too, the older Internationals do not have as much leg room as the Freightliners has. Older model I am talking about before the body style change of the International.

I am 6' and 250 and was driving a 2001 4900 International but my knees would hit the bottom of the dash at times. But is did have stock type seats too, this may change with custom seats.

Only other thing is if you are going International stick with the 6cyl engine DT466 or DT530. The 444 and the DT365 is just a Powerstroke (7.3L on the 444 and a 6.0L on the 365) engine but are fine but low on power.

A 4400 with a CAT engine????? Guess I have never seen a little International with CAT in it.

Cats are fine, but I would rather have the International 6cyl or the Cummins.

Remover the oil cap and oil filler cap while running and check for blow-by (smoke) Should be NONE. Then just check for any leaks, the tranny might have some warranty left on it. My 98 Allison had a 5/250-k warranty.

Sorry, got it confused.  It has a 300hp International.  Do you have any idea on average retail.

Is that 300hp the DT365 or the DT466 OT DT530????

The value all depends on the truck. Is it a plain jane type truck or is it a conversion package truck? 2 door, 4 door????

Just guesisng a plain type 4 door truck with a flatbed and good miles it good be worth around 30's. A conversion pacakge truck you will be looking at 50 PLUS! I am talking about with the DT466 or DT530 engine. With the DT365 I would knock atleast 5-k off the price.

The 4400 is really a nice truck. As HTB said, value and price depend on how the truck is spec'd. I'm guessing the 4400 will have either the DT466 or the DT530. Either will probably work, but you'll like the DT530 more. If you want, pm me the VIN# and I'll look up some specs for you. A big consideration if these trucks weren't ordered to make haulers out of is gearing, which affects cruising speed and engine rpms, and suspension.
