I am looking to buy a medium duty truck to pull a horse trailer. Does anybody have any experience/ comments on the International 4400 series? Good or Bad?

Great little trucks, older one with factory style seats have little leg room if you are TALL!
Make sure you either buy one with the DT466 or DT530 engine. The DT365 is a good engine for just driving, but lacks real towing ability. The DT365 is the 6.0L POWERSTROKE enigne with a few different exterior parts.
Check over on HTW and look for 2LCUSTOMTRUCKS he deals in them and does conversion. He can tel you all about them.

Like Hogtownboss said, the older ones- the 4700 and 4900 series don't have as much room in the cab. The 4400's (2002 and newer) have the new cab design. They are very comfortable, nice trucks.

Thank you for the input. I wound up and purchased a 4400 crew cab 2L conversion w/ the DT 570 engine we used it the following day on a 300+ mile round trip to a youth rodeo. We pull a Platinum 4 horse w/ 18' LQ... Talk about a enjoyable drive.. I didnt realize how over worked my 07 Dodge 3500 was until now.. Its for sale and will be posted here soon.. Wayland Long was a super nice guy to deal with and told it like it is.. Thanks again..
