I just got a new job that pays enough to the point that can buy a new or newer truck. I have been researching for what truck would be the best for heavy-ish hauling (horses). I understand that picking a certain truck involves my personal opinions however I can not decide. My side of the family has used Ford trucks and they seem to treat us well. Though my uncles side uses Dodges and they seem to do really well also. I like the Fords because of the spacious and comfortable cab. But I like the dodges towing power. When I turned to the internet for some more answers I found that the newest F250's are the best for gas mileage: however the 2500 Dodge had the best towing, again. I have never had any experience with Chevys so I do not know what they are capable of. I plan on getting a 4h gooseneck with possibly a small living quarters, most likely Trails West, so the trailer will be on the heavier side. I am looking for a good quality truck with good or decent gas mileage, has a good towing (doesn't have to be the BEST because I am only hauling horses and other small things) and travels quietly (smooth ride, comfortable cab, etc.) Please tell me your experience with past or present trucks. Thanks!
