"Service Trailer Brake System" message came on my dashboard tonight on my nearly-new 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

I was not hauling the trailer when it came on.

Called the dealer, will be going in tomorrow, but they said that it may be because my trailer brake system isn't compatible... well I wasn't towing anything!!!

Anyone else have the same message, or know what it means, or what caused it?

I am freaking out a little bit, because I am supposed to haul horses this weekend ......
