OK this isn't exactly a trailer question but I need some advise, and this seems to be a good place to ask.

where can I find running boards (or even just a step) to put along side the bed of my truck?  truck is a 2000 F350 duelly.  it has factory heavy plastic ones that go under the cab but they end there.  I'm short, and to get in and out of the bed  have to carry a stool to stand on.  Ford tells me they don't make anything like that.  I called Line-X and they said I"d have to buy a whole new running board, not just the piece for the bed.

surely there is something out there that would work and match what already is on there.

any suggestions?  thanks!

They told you right. That is the place you need running boards most. The old duallies you added them to it and you had someplace to stand when hooking up the trailer.

I have the same problem, I just ended up using the tire as a step instead of spending lots of $$$$.

well I've tried standing on the tire or hub but sometimes slip off.  I have a bad knee so I figure it's cheaper to get running boards than another knee surgery.  will check out the ICI website.  thanks

Try the two links below. One is a step that fits over your tire as needed and the other is a step that fits over your tailgate. This website is just the first one I came across in a seearch so you might can find these items cheaper somewhere else.

In case the above links don't work, go to www.rvshop.com and search for Tire Hopper Step and Tailgate Step.
