If I remember correctly, you do need to change the filter, and fluid at about 30,000 miles, and at about every 30,000 thereafter. If you are towing a trailer, this puts a LOT of strain on the trans and it's fluid and parts.
My 205 Ram 3500 gets changed every 25,000 as I tow a monster 4 horse with Living Quarters.

Why don't you find other dealerships out there? I'm sure there must be the right advice for your truck problem. My husband convinced me to have a truck because he said one of the very best types of cars to have is a truck. It can help you get things around effortlessly. It also is helpful if you like to serve and help people around you move stuff.
