I have a 95 k2500 and the right front tire keeps locking up when you apply the brakes firmly. Seeing this as dangerous I had the pads replaced, I noticed that the right front pads were the worst wore down. This didn't solve my problem so I took it in and they said it was the caliber. I replaced and the problem was fixed for only two weeks. I then took it back in and they said the wire harness was dirty or something. the problem was then solved again but only for a couple days. So now I'm stuck. keep in mind the abs has never worked. any suggestion? I did have the abs appraised at 4000 dollars.........

the quality of your brake caliper is substandard replace the brake caliper and flush the brake system with new fluid. If you still have the problem check it on your repair shops. They know what to do.

ABS simply keeps your base brakes from locking up. In vehicles not equipped with ABS, the driver can manually pump the brakes to prevent wheel lockup. In vehicles equipped with ABS, the driver's foot remains firmly on the brake pedal, allowing the system to automatically pump the brakes.

I think I would look at the flexable hose that runs to the calibers. They failed on my 92 a few years back and it did about the same. One side got all the pressure.

More than likely your abs sensor is bad on the right side...which means you will have to replace the right front wheel bearing, since they are interconnected...:(
