I bought a newer truck and it's taller than the one I sold. The gooseneck frame on my trailer now is only 5 inches off the top of the bed of the truck. It's a long bed to make it worse. Short inclines are going to do me in. Anyone have this trouble?

Thanks

What size wheels and tires are on your trailer? If they are 15" change them to 16" and it will give you at least 2" more clearance, once you drop your nose out to accommodate the new tire size. If you already have 16" on the trailer then you can add a 2" lift. and still get the clearance you need.

It's got 15 inch rims now...so replace those with 16 inch rims, right? Next question is where do I get rims that fit this trailer (95 Wrangler)and I read that trailers are suppose to have "special" tires. These tires are P235 R15 105S M+S. I don't know if they are the right tires or not. That's what came on the trailer. Thanks!!

Any quality tire shop should help you with the rims and tires. You have P series tires and those should be car tires.

Try Uniroyal 265 R16 with a load range E. This is a 10 ply tire. I have 2 new trailers and this is the tire that is on them. Sorry about the spelling of Uniroyal, spell check doesn't have it on the list...
