I have had my 1997 F250 HD diesel for 10 years, a couple years ago the pcm computer module had to be replaced and the mechanic found a Banks Ottoman chip installed from original owner. Does anyone recommend that I purchase a performace chip/kit for this truck? If so, which one? I have a 24 ft 3H GN 7 ft short wall LQ trailer that I pull with the truck. I notice that it normally pulls fine, however going up hills, I lose some power of course. I currently get 14/15 mpg empty and around 11/12 mpg loaded. I plan on keeping the truck til it dies. It has 88K and I keep it well-maintained.
