Description: 2009 VOLVO 780 - CONVERSION TO CARRY A SMART CAR OR POLARIS RANGER 570. Mileage - 748,000. D16 Volvo Engine (16 liter) currently set at 515 HP, 1850 lb./ft. of torque. I-Shift transmission with Performance mode and Premium shifter. 3.36 axle ratio. This transmission is fully automated and includes many advanced features like eco-roll (the ability to coast down hills automatically, while maintaining set speeds). 230? wheelbase, singled mid. The truck is 29? 3? from bumper to rear receiver hitch. For perspective, a Dodge 5500 with a Utility hauler body on it is 22? 6?. So this truck is about 6.5? longer than a pickup and has more pulling and stopping power for safety. Interior is a 77? condo sleeper. Fixed upper bunk, but lots of headroom below it, for seating at the dinette. (I?m 6 ft. and don?t come anywhere near the overhead bunk when sitting at the dinette.) Dinette table that seats four below the upper bunk makes into a ?double? bed. Incredible amount of storage in many bins and nooks. Hanging wardrobe with clothes rod. Refrigerator and room for a microwave and coffee pot. Very nice air ride Knodeler seats, recovered in matching two-toned cloth and sheepskin seat covers for additional comfort. Both have two armrests that are adjustable for angle. Drom box is 7? tall x 18? deep and as wide as can be put on the truck. The drom interior has ladder storage for a 6? ladder on the left (with a single shelf above it), and shelving everywhere else. There is specific space dedicated to storing a 40 lb propane cylinder. There is 12 volt power in the drom box. The hauler bed has four side storage boxes. It has a large top storage box that extends under the (loaded) car. It also has two shallow storage boxes in the rear for storing small items (over top of the larger side boxes). All the available space on the bed was used for storage. Nothing is ?wasted?. The loading ramps for the Smart car or Ranger stow under the deck in a separate compartment. Health issues caused us to give up on our dream of living the full-time RV Lifestyle. The trailer sold, so only the truck is available.
